In addition to group training, I offer 1-1 coaching; these sessions can be tailored to your specific requirements. Whether you have a crazy work pattern or family commitments that means you can’t come to group classes, you want to work on something very specific, perhaps a challenge that you have on the home or out on walks or you have a particularly reactive or nervous dog, I can come to you.
Some of the more recent sessions I have helped with are, poor recall, excitability around other dogs, poor focus, dog reactivity and challenges in the home. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss your dog’s training needs.
I also offer 1-1 coaching online. Please contact me to arrange a suitable time.
Medical Alert Dogs
More recently I have been working with the owner of a very special young cocker spaniel, Takk. Takk will become a Diabetic Alert Dog (DAD) following some very careful training; we are developing her confidence and building exercises slowly so that she doesn’t get confused. Using kind, positive reinforcement methods, we are working through a thorough plan and Takk is proving to be a very willing participant. She will live with an 11 year old with type 1 diabetes and her role will be to alert her when she has a hyperglycaemic or hypoglycaemic event (high or low), particularly through the night when it is more difficult to monitor bloods.
If you would like to know more about this kind of training, please get in touch.
